Description
The Stanford University Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a board certified/eligible cardiothoracic surgeon to join our Stanford University affiliated program in San Jose, California, as a departmental faculty member. The program has experienced clinical volume expansion and has additional growth opportunities. The ideal candidate should be proficient in various aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery and committed to clinical quality, patient safety, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications for the position include obtaining a current valid and unrestricted California medical license.
Pursuant to California statute, the salary range is provided. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Clinical Assistant Professor: $300,000 to $365,000
Clinical Associate Professor: $440,000 to $470,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in the departmental incentive program. Stanford University has provided a pay range amount representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
